In case of conflict

The 2018-negotiations are now in process and we look forward to a satisfactory outcome. However, in the event the public employers and the employee organisations are too far apart, a conflict might occur. If you are an English speaking member of Djøf, we encourage you to contact us.

Djøf negotiates collective agreements in the public sector every second or third year. We strive to obtain the best pay and working conditions possible for our members. We negotiate on behalf of employees working in the areas of state, region and municipality.

The 2018-negotiations are now in process and we look forward to a satisfactory outcome. However, in the event the public employers and the employee organisations are too far apart, a conflict might occur.

If a conflict occurs, it will not be initiated from one day to the next. One of the parties must give the other  notice at least one month before it is considered effective.

In the context of the ‘OK18’ negotiations, a conflict could become effective as early as April 1, 2018, when the current collective agreements expire.

However, we sincerely hope that the employers and employees will agree on the content of the new collective agreements they are negotiating.

If you are an English speaking member of Djøf, we encourage you to contact us, if you have any questions regarding your working conditions, should a conflict occur.

We can advise you on issues related to a conflict such as:

  • Will I be included in a conflict?
  • Should I be concerned about my residence permit?
  • Will I receive wages during a conflict?
