Talk on Piketty's 'Capital et Idéologie'

Join this event when we shine a light on Thomas Piketty's new book.

About the event

Following his bestseller book ‘Capital in the Twenty-First Century’, Piketty’s new book 'Capital et Idéologie' is being published in Denmark on 10th of March and on the 27th of May, Piketty will give a talk at the Royal Danish Library. Piketty is highly relevant to students and professors of economy and other social sciences, as well as anyone with an interest in economic growth and social inequality.

Piketty takes a critical approach to economy and uses the historical development to argue that we can achieve an arbitrary level of inequality on a given income level.

This talk by Birhte Larsen is a great opportunity to get to know more about the book and Piketty’s agenda, from one of the top professors in Denmark in the field. Birthe Larsen have already read his book and in her daily work she deals with unemployment, inequality and discrimination.

After the talk, we will have a Q&A session, where you have the opportunity to ask questions about Piketty’s work as well as debate the views on economic growth and
the means to minimizing social inequality.
